Where the EinScan Medixa fits in the range
The Medixa is a clinical scanner, not a workshop one. It is a single wireless device that scans, processes and exports without a computer beside it, with preset workflows for the body areas an O&P clinic actually fits: face, cranial, torso, upper and lower limb, feet, socket, seating and foam box. White light and infrared VCSEL sources bring in contact-free capture, a 5 MP camera records texture, and movement compensation makes it usable on patients who cannot hold still — infants, and anyone being scanned for a foot or a socket. The practical result is that a plaster-cast workflow becomes a digital one, with the scan going straight into design and manufacturing.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Medixa need a computer?
No. It is an all-in-one device: scanning, processing and data export all happen on the scanner, which keeps the clinic workflow simple and means it can be taken to a patient rather than the reverse.
Can it scan patients who cannot stay still?
That is a design requirement rather than a bonus. Movement-compensation algorithms and infrared capture let it work on infants, feet, torsos and sockets where the patient cannot hold a position.
What can it scan?
Preset workflows cover face, cranial, torso, upper and lower limb, feet, socket, seating and foam box — the areas an orthotics and prosthetics practice fits most often.
How accurate is it for clinical work?
Point distance ranges from 0.2 to 3 mm, with a field of view of 475 × 360 mm in white light and 1090 × 1260 mm in infrared. For clinical and O&P purposes the geometry is comfortably finer than the manufacturing tolerance of the device being fitted.
Does it capture colour?
Yes — a 5 MP texture camera records the surface, which matters for documentation and for cases where the finish of the device has to match skin tone.
What does an EinScan Medixa cost in Malaysia?
Quoted per configuration, with the software and training your practice needs. Tell us the caseload and the devices you manufacture.
