Superseded model. The Pro HD was the high-resolution handheld of the EinScan range: 0.045 mm accuracy in HD mode, 0.04 mm single-shot in fixed mode, up to 3,000,000 points/s, and better behaviour on dark and cast metal surfaces than its predecessor. It has since been superseded, and tri-mode operation is now the standard in this class.

Is the EinScan Pro HD discontinued?

Yes, it has been superseded. The current professional handheld in that role is the EinScan Rigil.

What was the Pro HD good at?

Resolution and awkward surfaces: handheld HD scanning to 0.045 mm, fixed scanning to 0.04 mm single-shot, and fewer limitations on dark or cast metal parts.

What is the difference between the Pro HD and a FreeScan?

Accuracy class and documentation. FreeScan machines are metrology grade with ISO 10360 acceptance testing, so their output supports inspection and reporting; EinScan handles design, engineering and reverse engineering.
