The O1 Omni runs two dedicated Epson F1080 printheads. One handles full-colour UV work; the second is purpose-built for either advanced UV effects or fabric printing, depending on the edition you choose. What are the main differences between the three O1 Omni editions, and which should I choose?

UV + DT Fabric Edition — best if you want it all: rigid goods (wood, acrylic, metal) plus apparel (cotton, polyester) using dual printheads and dedicated fabric inks. Dual-Head UV Edition — for advanced UV work, with fluorescent colours and flexible white ink for leather and canvas. Single UV Edition — entry-level personalisation on rigid materials. Can I upgrade from the Single UV Edition to a Dual-Head or UV + DT Fabric Edition later?

No. Each edition is factory-configured with its own printhead setup and ink system, installed during manufacturing. Choose the edition that matches your long-term printing needs — this is exactly what we will walk through with you before you order.

Does the UV + DT Fabric Edition support fluorescent inks?

No. The UV + DT Fabric Edition uses its second printhead for textile printing (DTG/DTF). If you need fluorescent effects or flexible white ink for materials like leather, the Dual-Head UV Edition is the recommended choice.

What additional equipment is needed for DTF and DTG fabric printing?

The O1 (UV + DT Fabric Edition) handles both DTG direct printing and DTF film printing. For DTF you apply adhesive powder and use a heat press — such as the xTool WonderPress with built-in curing — to transfer the design. For DTG we recommend pre-pressing the fabric and curing the ink afterwards for wash durability.

Can the O1 work with xTool laser machines for print-then-cut workflows?

Yes. The O1 works within the xTool Studio ecosystem and currently supports P3, P2, P2S, S1, M2 and M1 Ultra. You can split one design — the O1 prints colour while the laser cuts the outline — with support for more models being added.
