Fiber Laser Engraver Malaysia

xTool F2 Ultra 60W MOPA fiber laser engraver

A fiber laser engraver drives a high-power beam into the metal itself — engraving it, not just marking it. Because the mark is etched directly into the material, it never fades — making fiber lasers the standard choice where the work has to be deep, permanent and impossible to rub off — serial numbers, barcodes, industrial parts and personalised metal across Malaysian manufacturing.

What can a fiber laser engrave?

  • Steel and stainless steel — permanent part numbers, logos and QR codes.
  • Aluminium and anodised aluminium — crisp, high-contrast marking.
  • Brass, copper, titanium — engraving and marking of metal products and parts.
  • Jewellery and accessories — fine detail on precious and plated metals.

Our fiber laser solutions

Trinventor Solution supplies the xTool range in Malaysia, including the xTool F2 Ultra — a high-power MOPA fiber laser built for deep engraving on metal as much as for marking — and the xTool MetalFab for fiber laser welding and CNC cutting of sheet metal. Whether you need to engrave components or join metal parts, we can match the right machine to your production.

Fiber vs CO2 laser

  • Fiber — engraves metal deeply and durably, with MOPA sources adding colour; the choice where the mark has to outlast the part.
  • CO2 — cuts and engraves non-metals such as wood, acrylic and leather.
  • Diode — affordable light engraving for softer materials.

Applications in Malaysia

  • Industrial part and component engraving and marking.
  • Serial numbers, barcodes and traceability codes — engraved, not printed.
  • Metal signage, nameplates and tags.
  • Jewellery and metal personalisation.
  • Fiber laser welding of thin sheet metal.

How to choose a fiber laser engraver

  • Power — higher wattage engraves faster and deeper, and a MOPA source adds colour and fine control.
  • Lens area — match the lens to the largest field you need.
  • Automation — rotary and conveyor options for high-volume production.
  • Local support — installation, training and spare parts in Malaysia.
Quick verdict: a fiber laser engraves bare metal — it cuts into the material, not onto it. A high-power MOPA source goes further than marking: deep engraving you can feel and colour on stainless, alongside identification that lasts the life of the part. Wood and acrylic are not its job; that is CO2.

What a fiber laser does that others cannot

The beam is absorbed by metal instead of bouncing off it, which is why a fiber laser can engrave stainless, aluminium and brass without any spray or coating, and why the engraving survives heat, oil, wear and cleaning. Where a label peels and ink fades, a fiber engraving is part of the surface.

Which metal, which finish

Material What you get Notes
Stainless steel Dark, high-contrast mark A MOPA source such as the xTool F2 Ultra can also produce colour marks and deep engraving on steel
Aluminium Light or dark mark depending on settings Anodised aluminium marks cleanly without damaging the finish
Brass and copper High-contrast mark Common for signage plates and electrical parts
Coated and painted metal Coating removed, base revealed Fast and crisp for black-on-steel labels
Tool steel Permanent identification Tools, jigs and moulds — see laser marking machine Malaysia
Glass and plastics Not this machine A UV source such as the F2 Ultra UV marks these cold, without heat or micro-cracks

Choosing the beam: MOPA, UV or diode

  • MOPA fiber — the flexible one. Pulse control means you can go from a light annealed mark to deep engraving or colour on stainless, and it handles the widest range of metals.
  • UV (355 nm) — the cold process. It marks glass, plastics and delicate components without heat, which is why it is the answer for electronics and medical work.
  • Diode — the budget option for wood, leather and coated metal; it will not mark bare metal properly.

Some machines carry more than one source: the F2 Ultra pairs a fiber and a diode head in one unit, which is why it can switch between metal work and everyday engraving on the same bench. For cutting and welding metal rather than marking it, the xTool MetalFab is the machine in our range.

Frequently asked questions

Can a fiber laser engrave wood or acrylic?

Not properly — the wavelength is absorbed by metal and passes through organics. Wood, leather and acrylic belong to a CO2 or diode laser. If you need both, machines that combine a fiber and a diode source let you cover both jobs on one bench.

Can a fiber laser cut metal?

A fiber engraver is built to engrave, not to cut sheet. Cutting and welding metal is a different class of machine — in our range that is the xTool MetalFab. Tell us the thickness and the job and we will point you at the right tool rather than the nearest one.

Will the engraving wear off?

No. A fiber mark is a change in the material itself rather than ink or a label on top of it, which is why it survives abrasion, heat, solvents and repeated cleaning — the reason it is used for traceability and medical instruments.

Do I need the rotary attachment?

Only if you mark curved or cylindrical parts such as rings, tumblers or tubes. A rotary is an optional accessory, sold separately from the machine, and we will tell you honestly whether your parts need it before you spend.

Is a fiber laser safe in a workshop?

The enclosed machines we supply are class-1 designs with interlocked lids, and marking produces far less fume than cutting. You still want extraction for coated metals and plastics, and proper operator training — which we provide with the machine.
