What is the Huayan Elfin?
The Elfin is Huayan Robotics’ mainstream six-axis collaborative robot line: seven models from 4 kg to 18 kg payload (E03, E05, E05-L, E10, E10-L, E12, E15) with 590–1800 mm reach. It is built around Huayan’s dual-joint module design and used for assembly, pick & place, machine tending, welding, grinding and similar work.
Which Elfin model do I need?
Start from the payload you must move including the gripper or tooling, then the reach that covers your machine, fixture and conveyor positions. E03 (4 kg / 590 mm) is the compact precision arm, E05 (7 kg / 800 mm) is the all-rounder, E05-L and E10-L add reach, E10 and E12 lift 10–12 kg at 1000–1800 mm, and the E15 is the 18 kg top of the line. How is the Elfin different from the Elfin-Pro?
Same motion platform, different sensor package. The Elfin has the same payload, reach, weight and repeatability figures as the Elfin-Pro, with IP54 (IP66 optional), the mini control-box option and 100–240 V power. The Elfin-Pro adds integrated end force control and AI vision options and is the flagship line. Choose the Elfin for standard handling, tending and assembly work; step up to the Elfin-Pro when the process needs force feedback or vision guidance.
Can it be taught without a robot programming specialist?
Yes — the Huayan controller uses graphical programming with remote call, and the manufacturer demonstrates drag teaching on the arm itself. Your operators set up jobs at the pendant; we program the first applications with you and train the team so the next job is one they own.
What payload can it really carry?
The catalogue figures are 4, 5, 7, 10, 12 and 18 kg depending on the model — and like any robot, the payload budget must include the gripper, tooling and any offset load. Tell us the real part plus the end effector and we will confirm the model with margin, then prove it on the demo arm.
What protection and environment does it carry?
IP54 is standard with IP66 as an option, over a 0–50 °C operating range and 200–240 V AC supply (100–240 V optional) — values that fit Malaysian production floors without climate control.
What is the mini control box for?
It puts the controller where a cabinet does not fit: 348 × 221.5 × 76.5 mm on a DC 30–60 V input, intended for AGV, mobile and machine-embedded builds. It is the configuration behind the catalogue’s mobile grinding and polishing setups.
How does it connect to my existing line?
TCP/IP and ModbusTCP are standard, with Profinet and EtherNet/IP available as options. There is 3 DI / 3 DO / 2 AI at the tool and 16 DI / 16 DO / 2 AI / 2 AO on the control box. In integration we handle the handshakes — conveyor signals, machine interlocks, safety configuration — so the cell behaves like one machine rather than two.
Do you provide installation, training and support in Malaysia?
Yes — the full lifecycle: assessment and feasibility, demonstration, integration, installation and commissioning, programming, operator training, spare parts and service contracts. Trinventor Solution is an authorized distributor of Huayan Robotics in Malaysia, so parts and support do not depend on an overseas flight.
