Comprehensive Filament Monitoring

A clogged nozzle or tangled filament can ruin prints. Traditional sensors cover few failure scenarios. In the A1 mini and AMS Lite, we've introduced a comprehensive filament monitoring system with tension, position, and pressure sensors. The AMS Lite also has a filament odometer. These sensors and advanced algorithms swiftly detect filament issues, preserving print quality.

Linear Rails

In 3D printers, rails are crucial for durability and accuracy. The A1 mini uses high-quality all-metal rails on the X and Z axes and an all-metal Linear Guide on the Y axis. These rails minimize user adjustments, needing only regular lubrication to maintain precision and lifespan.

Active Vibration Compensation

Active Vibration Compensation, like Input Shaping in other firmware, is crucial for speed. The control system must understand the system's vibration characteristics (frequency and amplitude of all axes). Parameters set during production can drift due to temperature, belt tension, or build plate changes. To ensure optimal parameters for top print quality, , we have installed sensors on both the toolhead and the heatbed, allowing for the measurement of the parameters of the X and Y axes before every print.

Full-Auto Leveling

The A1 mini's full-auto ABL uses nozzle as the probe, which measures absolute distance. Bed leveling is fully automatic with zero manual adjustment needed.

Real-time Monitoring

You can remotely control and monitor your A1 mini with the Bambu Handy App or Bambu Studio. You can see what's going on even if you're not on site.

Active Motor Noise Canceling

Stepper motors can be noisy, especially at high speeds. Injecting high-frequency movements into the motor via the drive can reduce noise, but it depends on each motor's characteristics. The A1 mini uses sensors and algorithms to identify unique motor noise patterns during calibration, helping to cancel portion of the motor noise.


While AMS lite is compatible with most filaments on the market, it uses RFID to detect Bambu Filament with RFID tag, and automatically apply the best suited settings for them. It also enable you to monitor the filament usage, remotely.

Active Flow Rate Compensation

The melted plastic's flow differs from XYZ axes movement and can cause issues at high speeds. Active flow rate compensation predicts and adjusts plastic flow for accurate extrusion. Traditionally, we calibrated by printing lines with acceleration, but this was time-consuming and space-wasting. The A1 mini uses novel method to measure the nozzle pressure to obtain parameters directly before each print, saving time and build plate space.
